As of 6 September 2024 The component universe of the IQ Candriam ESG US Equity Index begins with companies that comprise the Solactive GBS United States Large & Mid Cap Index TR. Companies, within this eligible universe, are then analyzed and assigned a score based on Candriam's Best-in-Class approach which combines Micro Analysis (stakeholders management) and Macro Analysis (Exposure to Global Sustainability Trends). The results of the Micro and Macro analysis score are then combined and companies ranked in the top 70% are further reviewed to see if they violate certain controversial activities criteria or the UN Global Compact. Companies that are not excluded based on the preceding criteria form the basis of the component universe.
